THE BRIDGE
TO TRAVEL
U9 Academy is for U9 players who want to reach their full potential through the Beach FC Developmental Curriculum. It sits between Junior Academy (U6–U8) and Travel (U10–U19), and prepares players for Travel — the highest level in the club.
Players are at the center of their own development, with coaches helping them set short- and long-term goals that are high but achievable.
U9 ACADEMY AT A GLANCE
AGE GROUP
U9 boys and girls. Two practices a week plus a weekly Foundations session.
DEVELOPMENT LEVEL
Intermediate to advanced. Previous soccer experience is required.
TASL LEAGUE
Saturday games against other clubs in TASL, with home games at HRSC.
PAID COACHES
Led by paid Beach FC coaches following the club's Developmental Curriculum.
WHAT FAMILIES CAN EXPECT
An energetic, high-tempo style built on keeping the ball and winning it back fast.
TRAIN TWICE A WEEK
Mondays and Wednesdays at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex.
FOUNDATIONS TRAINING
An extra weekly session at the Studio Center Futsal Arena.
SATURDAY TASL GAMES
Competitive games against other clubs, with home games at HRSC.
DOMINATE THE BALL
We love to keep possession — and press high to win it back quickly.
THREE BEACH FC TOURNAMENTS
Every U9 Academy team is entered into our three Beach FC tournaments.
READY FOR TRAVEL
U9 Academy prepares players to step into Beach FC Travel at U10.
