Recreation is community-based: teams are formed by neighborhood and play other Beach FC Recreation teams in our own in-house leagues. It's a great fit whether your child is brand new to soccer or has been playing for years.
Our goal is for every player to experience the lifelong benefits of soccer in a safe environment built on skill development, team building and community.

RECREATION AT A GLANCE
AGE GROUP
Ages 3 through high school. Age groups follow an Oct 1 cutoff, matching Virginia school grades.
DEVELOPMENT LEVEL
Beginner to intermediate. Our entry-level grassroots program, no tryouts and no player placements.
OUR OWN LEAGUES
In-house games against other Beach FC teams, so every game day stays close to home.
VOLUNTEER COACHES
Parent coaches, supported by the club. Practices once or twice a week, the coach's call.
WHAT FAMILIES CAN EXPECT
Friendship, sportsmanship and the foundations of the game in a fun, positive season.
SATURDAY SOCCER CITY
Every Saturday we build our own soccer city at Williams Farm Park for ages 3-11.
MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL
Older teams play their games at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex.
PRACTICE NEAR HOME
Weeknight practices at elementary school fields in Virginia Beach and Norfolk.
TWO SEASONS A YEAR
Fall runs September-November and spring March-May, with separate registration for each.
GAMES THAT GROW WITH THEM
From 4v4 for the youngest players up to 7v7, 9v9 and full 11v11.
FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS
Teams are built by neighborhood, so players often line up with classmates.

No tryouts, no placements. Register online and your player is placed on a neighborhood team.

One payment per season. Beach FC fees are all-inclusive, no hidden fees.

NEED HELP WITH FEES? Apply in PlayMetrics by Feb 1 for spring or Aug 1 for fall. Recipients give 8 volunteer hours a season.

Game locations and schedules vary by age group. Current Beach FC team communications should always be used for final game and field assignments.

IN-HOUSE REFEREES
REFEREE OUR GAMES
Players and parents aged 13 and up can referee Beach FC's in-house Recreation games after taking our referee class.
