OVERVIEW

THE TRAVEL
EXPERIENCE, YOUR WAY

Travel Lite sits between Advanced and Travel. It's for players who want the travel experience — league competition, tournaments and guest-playing opportunities — without the full financial and time commitment of a Travel team.

Teams are often promoted from Advanced, and new teams form from evaluated groups of players. One of our fastest-growing programs.

TRAVEL LITE AT A GLANCE

AGE GROUP

U10 through U19. U15 and older play a fall league only, around the public high school season.

DEVELOPMENT LEVEL

Intermediate to advanced players looking for Travel-level competition.

VPSL LEAGUE

Weekend games, mostly Sundays, against clubs across southeastern and central Virginia.

TWICE A WEEK

Two practices a week, plus league games and tournaments.

WHAT FAMILIES CAN EXPECT

A taste of the next level, with closer ties to the Beach FC Travel program.

WEEKEND LEAGUE GAMES

VPSL games are mostly on Sundays, with some on Saturdays.

TOURNAMENT PLAY

Teams experience tournaments and guest-playing opportunities.

BUILT FROM ADVANCED

Many teams move up together after outgrowing Advanced.

City fields, and many teams rent lit fields at HRSC.

Registration happens once a year, at tryouts. Travel Lite tryouts follow the Travel tryouts, so players can be seen at both.

WHATA tryout to place players on Travel Lite teams for the full seasonal year.

WHYAccepting a spot commits your player to a full year of play, so teams are built carefully.
